Bio

Vocalist and trombonist elizabeth! (originally Elizabeth Dotson-Westphalen) is a native of Woodstock, Vermont.  Since graduating from Harvard in 2000, she has been based in Brooklyn, New York, where she maintains an active touring and recording schedule.  She has spent this decade playing, singing, and recording music with jazz musicians (Matt Wilson, Kenny Wollesen, Chris Potter), indie rockers (St. Vincent, Escort, The Silent League, Jill Sobule), and pop stars (Michael Bolton), and has had the opportunity through music to travel the world.  She holds a Master's Degree in Jazz Vocal Performance (Queens College, 2006), and is currently working on a full-length album of original music, due out winter 2010.  She has led her own groups around the country, including at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
